EM Raphaela Valentine
Raphaela Valentine joined our family in 2015 due to the untimely passing of her owner, Kay Skillern. Valentine was bred by Kathy Dodson.
We took Valentine to our trainer, Erika-West Danque, Erika-West Dressage in Willis, TX to help make her fit (she is an easy keeper) and get her ready for the Hanoverian MPTs. She passed her MPTs with honors, lovely disposition, solid gaits and beautiful, older style conformation. She continued working through the winter at Erika-West Dressage to develop a nice top line and more ring experience, her wonderful disposition was great for a lesson horse.
We bred Valentine to Dancier and she took one cycle, one dose! We’re very excited regarding this cross and look forward to welcoming her foal to Walkabout Station in 2017.
Weltbekannt is a refining son of the "stallion of the century" Weltmeyer. He was licensed and tested in Germany before being imported by Suzanne Quarles, Some Day Soon Farm, Mt. Airy, Maryland. He is successfully showing while being used as a breeding stallion. In 1998 he was reserve champion USDF Horse of the Year at Second Level. In 1999 he was USDF Horse of the Year for Third Level. He is pictured above doing a victory lap after winning the Third Level Freestyle Final at the prestigious Bengt Lundquist Memorial Finals in Maryland last October 2000. In 2001 he debuted at Prix St. Georges, scoring a 65% his first time out. He showed very successfully at Grand Prix, with winning scores in the upper 60's and retired at the age of 14. He passes on a beautiful head, very correct conformation, an easy, brave and out-going personality, and excellent gaits to his foals.
